Stephanie Whiddon, NC Board Certified Paralegal

Stephanie Whiddon earned her Associate Degree in paralegal technology in 1994 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology in 2010. Stephanie was awarded membership in the National Criminal Justice Honor Society and obtained her North Carolina State Bar Paralegal Certification in June 2006. Stephanie has more than 20 years of paralegal experience, with 15 years exclusively in the area of family law and federal criminal defense. Stephanie is now the managing paralegal for GreeneWilson, overseeing all paralegal and legal assistant work product. As a family law paralegal, Stephanie assists clients in issues related to divorce, custody, domestic violence, equitable distribution, child support, and alimony. As a federal criminal paralegal, Stephanie assists clients in discovery review and notation, electronic filing, and case coordination. Stephanie’s successful career as a paralegal, both in family law and federal criminal law, provides clients with assistance in the day to day progress with their cases.

Paula Adkins, Criminal Legal Assistant

Paula Adkins has more than 11 years of experience exclusively in the area of state criminal defense in Craven County. Her experience ranges from assisting in handling minor traffic infractions to high class felonies. Prior to becoming a Legal Assistant, she completed Basic Law Enforcement Training and served as a correctional officer for the North Carolina Department of Corrections. Paula also served as an eligibility specialist for the Department of Social Services for over 13 years. Paula’s range of practical experience in the North Carolina criminal justice system has proven time and again to be a great asset to our clients. She is the firm’s “client advocate,” focusing particularly on clients in custody.

Maegan Whiddon, Legal Assistant

Maegan Whiddon has more than three years of experience here at GreeneWilson. She is currently assisting clients in issues related to family law.

Renda Faber, Office Manager

Renda Faber earned an Associate’s of Applied Science Degree in Business Administration in 2013. She has more than 12 years of experience in all aspects of office management and has been a member of GreeneWilson since 2011. Renda manages all business aspects of GreeneWilson and client relations.

Keith Smith, Domestic Legal Assistant

Keith Smith earned his Associates in Applied Science Degree in Paralegal Studies in 2011.  Keith currently is a Legal Assistant in our Domestic Division assisting in family law case management, trial preparation, and case strategy execution. Keith’s varied interests in World Religions, Philosophy, Sociology and Criminal Justice have resulted in him learning the languages of Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese. His fluent Spanish has proven to be a great asset for assisting our Spanish speaking clients and their families. Prior to his work as a domestic legal assistant, Keith managed a facility law library where he assembled a strong working knowledge of post-conviction and appellate rights for federal inmates.

Amy Spear, Criminal Legal Assistant

Amy Spear is a graduate and Phi Theta Kappa Member of Lenior Community College, having graduated with honors in Criminal Justice. She furthered her studies in Criminal Justice and Sociology at Fayetteville State University where she was a member of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society. She continues her education studying Criminal Justice at Liberty University. Amy heads up the state Criminal Division here at GreeneWilson assisting our clients with their various pending legal matters.

Jennifer Bradford, Criminal Legal Assistant

Jennifer Bradford works as one of GreeneWilson’s primary Criminal Legal Assistants.   Jennifer is a graduate from the University of Maryland University College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. She is currently enrolled in her Master’s program with a focus in Criminal Justice Management. Jennifer’s driven focus on the study of criminal law and its process is a constant benefit to GreeneWilson clients and their navigation of the complex criminal justice system.

Kristel Scalf, Front Desk Receptionist/Client Intake Coordinator

Kristel Scalf heads the front of the office.  She is the Front Desk Receptionist and also Client Intake Coordinator, processing all new matters for our clients.  Born and raised in Florida, she earned her associates degree in Accounting  achieving honors acclamations in 2016.  She moved to Craven County with her spouse, a Marine on active duty, and her family.   Aside from her work at Greene & Wilson, she is now enrolled  in the Bachelor’s Program at American Military University with a focus geared towards accounting.
