Stephanie Whiddon, NC Board Certified Paralegal

Stephanie Whiddon earned her Associate Degree in paralegal technology in 1994 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology in 2010. Stephanie was awarded membership in the National Criminal Justice Honor Society and obtained her North Carolina State Bar Paralegal Certification in June 2006. Stephanie has more than 20 years of paralegal experience, with 15 years exclusively in the area of family law and federal criminal defense. Stephanie is now the managing paralegal for GreeneWilsonCrow, overseeing all paralegal and legal assistant work product. As a family law paralegal, Stephanie assists clients in issues related to divorce, custody, domestic violence, equitable distribution, child support, and alimony. As a federal criminal paralegal, Stephanie assists clients in discovery review and notation, electronic filing, and case coordination. Stephanie’s successful career as a paralegal, both in family law and federal criminal law, provides clients with assistance in the day to day progress with their cases.

Paula Adkins, Legal Assistant

Paula Adkins has more than 11 years of experience exclusively in the area of state criminal defense in Craven County. Her experience ranges from assisting in handling minor traffic infractions to high class felonies. Prior to becoming a Legal Assistant, she completed Basic Law Enforcement Training and served as a correctional officer for the North Carolina Department of Corrections. Paula also served as an eligibility specialist for the Department of Social Services for over 13 years. Paula’s range of practical experience in the North Carolina criminal justice system has proven time and again to be a great asset to our clients. She is the firm’s “client advocate,” focusing particularly on clients in custody.

Maegan Whiddon, Legal Assistant

Maegan Whiddon has more than three years of experience here at GreeneWilsonCrow. She is currently assisting clients in issues related to family law.

Keith Smith, Paralegal

Keith Smith earned his Associates in Applied Science Degree in Paralegal Studies in 2011.  Keith currently is a Legal Assistant in our Domestic Division assisting in family law case management, trial preparation, and case strategy execution. Keith’s varied interests in World Religions, Philosophy, Sociology and Criminal Justice have resulted in him learning the languages of Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese. His fluent Spanish has proven to be a great asset for assisting our Spanish speaking clients and their families. Prior to his work as a domestic legal assistant, Keith managed a facility law library where he assembled a strong working knowledge of post-conviction and appellate rights for federal inmates.

Amanda Wagner, Legal Assistant/Client Intake Coordinator

Amanda Wagner currently is a Legal Assistant assisting in federal and state criminal matters. She is also the Client Intake Coordinator, wherein she processes all new matters for our clients. Amanda has more than 15 years of experience working in law firms in Virginia and North Carolina. She moved to Craven County recently with her family. Aside from working at GreeneWilsonCrow, Amanda enjoys sightseeing and reading, and loves the beach.

Raquel Leete, File Clerk/Office Runner

Raquel Leete is from Washington and was raised in the mountains of Virginia. Her attention to detail and ability to organize have been of great value to GreeneWilsonCrow. Raquel is the office runner and file room clerk.

Sheryl Harris, Legal Assistant

Sheryl Harris earned her Associates of Arts Degree in 2011 and is a native of New Bern, North Carolina. She is currently completing her Associates Degree in Criminal Justice Technology and has more than 11 years of experience in all aspects of office management. She has been a member of GreeneWilsonCrow since 2019.  Sheryl manages business aspects of our firm and works as a Legal Assistant in our Domestic Division assisting in family law case management, trial preparation and case strategy execution

Kristal Tingen, Paralegal

Kristal earned her A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies from Pitt Community College in Winterville, NC in 2013, graduating with honors. She has over seven years combined experience in real estate, personal injury, and social security disability law but now focuses exclusively in our criminal and DSS divisions.  Prior to joining our firm, Kristal worked as a Relationship Manager in the banking industry.

Rachel Lewis, Receptionist

Rachel is a native to New Bern with long ties in the community. She attended Craven Community College for her associate degree in Office Administration before moving forward to obtain her bachelor’s degree at Perdue University. Rachel heads the front office as she is the front desk receptionist.
